5 went fast!!!

Deagan turned 5 years old today! I can't believe how fast it went, it seemed to just fly!! He is such a great little boy! He is loved so much, especially by Brayden; they are so cute when they play, and fight :)

Deagan was born May 19, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. After initial problems we were all okay....He was such a hungry baby, nursing every 1 hour for the first 4 months of his life!! Here are some pictures of Deagan throughout his 5 years....

Deagan's 5th Birthday "Kid" Party

Deagan doesn't officially turn 5 until May 19th, but since I work every other weekend, we had to do his kid party on my weekend off. Yesterday we had his 5th birthday party at Peak Elite Gymnastics. Deagan has never taken gymnastics, but we have been to plenty of parties at this place. It is amazing! They have 2 staff people there to corral the children, there is a bounce house, and all of the gymnast equipment to play on.

18 kids showed up; a variety from school and daycare. They all did great, and no one got hurt, which is always the main goal with the majority of the kids being boys. We had one yellowjacket sting, and a few other bumps a bruises, but nothing major.

My friend Johnnie, who is my kids other mom :), her sister makes cakes, and made Deagan's. The party was a Transformer theme, and he wanted an Optimus Prime cake. It turned out SO GREAT!!!

Here are some other pictures from the party:

WOW, it's been a month......

We have been busy, doing not much of anything, but obviously too busy to blog.

I did the Eugene half marathon this past Sunday......

I did it with my mom, aunt Jan, and best friend Lisa. It was such a great route, much prettier than the Portland Marathon. However, this time we only did the 13.1 miles, instead of the 26.2. We tried a new method run a mile, walk a mile. Which was great until my knee and foot started killing me about mile 9; so then we walked the rest until the last little bit. We finished in just over 3 hours, a 14.19 minute mile; which isn't too bad since we walked a lot. A lot better time than my Portland marathon time!!

However my foot has been killing me; I had x-rays yesterday....no stress fracture, just a pulled tendon or something.

Anyway, I will try and find time to blog about what we have been up to when the kids go to bed........
