Just a random picture to share

I forgot to post a cute pics of the boys with Josh at Coastal Farm and Home Supply...enjoy!

It's never ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So from my earlier post Bray was sick....I called into work since he was needing the breathing treatments. And not a hour later Deagan was throwing up! We already did the vomiting etc...sickness! Needless to say, I am home today with 2 sick kids. Deagan is missing his valentine's day party at school and a play date, I am missing work and a meeting and Brayden is missing play time with his friends. What a bummer of a day. But I am getting the laundry done, which was well overdue!

On a happier note:

I am hoping that my little nephew will grace us with his beautiful face sometime soon. My poor sis has been in and out of the hospital with PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension), she goes back in today, so we will see!!

Ears, again????

Okay, so I picked up Brayden from Johnnie's today. As soon as I walked in the door he started screaming, uncontrollably. I thought he was just throwing a fit because I showed up before snack time......however this continued for what felt like forever. Then his scream began to change into a hurtful scream. Deagan was kept saying he was worried about Buddy (his name for Bray), and Auntie was too (poor auntie was in the car, she was supposed to be getting a ride home). So I called the Doctor. The medical assistant heard him crying and said "how soon can you get here", and of course I started to worry. Luckily we were right down the road.

I made Mackenzie call Ryan and drive back to Corvallis to get her; and took Bray into the doctor. Of course he stopped crying as soon as we entered the door, but oh well. It didn't take long to get in and Dr Hathaway came right into see Bray. He did all of his normal stuff; and shockingly Brayden, once again, had a double ear infection. This is his third in the last 3 months, apparently he likes to get them every month. Anyway, that wasn't all. He was wheezing badly in his lungs while he was breathing; so he earned himself a nebulizer treatment. Not only are we again on antibiotics, but now having to hold the poor child for 5-10 minutes giving him a breathing treatment....YUCK!!!

We did the first treatment in the office, and it wasn't too bad. They have binky's or fish masks to give to children that are getting these type of treatments. So we will see how the next few days go.

Wish us luck :)

Sad Day......

Josh's the cousin was killed last night in a motorcycle accident. She was riding on a motorcycle with her husband on Hwy 20 near the Children's Farm Home. Our thoughts and prayer's are with the Kelley's, Burchards, Moreland's, and all extended family.

SNOW DAY...again!!

Here are a few pictures from our morning, and a couple from last evening. Deagan LOVES the snow. Brayden is okay with it, he hates that his hands get sooooo cold!!! We had a fun day, but now most of the snow is gone :(

Vegas Baby!!!!

On January 17th Josh and I headed to Vegas with our good friends Kevin and Nicole. Josh and I had signed up for one of those timeshare talks to get a free room, show tickets, and $200 in slot credits. Plus, we hadn't left the kids over night since before Bray was born. Anyway, it was a well overdue trip.

The night before we left (Wednesday) Brayden puked all night long. My parents said go, we have taken care of sick kids before....so we went. Our flight was great, we got in safe.

The first night we went to the Lance Burton Magic show, it was absolutely amazing. Josh and I are not magic fans; but Kev and Nicole got us tickets, so we went. And, WOW, I still can't believe it. We then just watched K & N play the tables...blackjack (we aren't big gamblers). Kevin taught us how to play and at first we did great, then we lost it all. And then walked the strip.

The second day we had our "timeshare" talk....it took FOREVER!!! Anyway we politely said NO, and were on our way. We had tickets to a show this night too, but I started to feel sick to my stomach. And then Mackenzie called (she had the boys this night), and Deagan was sick. Since she is prego, I called my parents and they took the boys for another night. By that time we were way down the strip from our hotel, The Monte Carlo (which caught on fire this week), and I was so nauseated I took the bus back to the hotel, and got sick that entire night. Josh, Kev and Nicole went to the show; and I was in bed.

The next day I rallied around 300pm. We hit the strip, gambled more money away, and went to the Wayne Brady comedy show that night. It was hilarious; he made fun of Josh because he was wearing shorts. We laughed the entire hour and a half.

We had a great time, even though I was sick. The boys were fine, and Josh didn't get sick until this past Saturday. Anyway, here are some pics. We didn't take too many, but enjoy!

A little outing....

So this was my first week starting day shift at the hospital; I worked days about a year ago, but transferred to nights so I could start working on the OB floor. Anyway, it is going great. It is nice to be a "real" person again; sleeping in the dark and eating at normal hours. I miss my night shift girls, but see them in passing. At least I am on the same weekend as the one's I hang out with the most, so we can at least have some girls nights!!

Anyway, I had a staff meeting today, and of course I didn't work, so I had to take the children. My parents are away at a funeral, so no sitter :( These staff meetings can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. With a 4 1/2 year old and a 15 month old you can say I wasn't too excited to attend. But we went anyway.

I had to pick Deagan up from school, and I of course forgot his coloring books and writing stuff at home. So we took a trip to the trusty ole' dollar store; picked up some pencils, crayons, coloring books, and writing books and we were off.

The first 25 minutes were GREAT at the meeting. Deagan sat with his friend Abigail (a girl from his class whose mom I work with). They colored, traded papers etc.....And Brayden was in his stroller (which by the way he hates...he is very mobile and being restricted is against everything in his little world), being great, eating snacks, taking his shoes off and throwing them. Not too bad, I am thinking to myself.

Then, Deagan got tired of sitting and Bray was tired of his stroller and starting to scream. So I took him out (HUGE mistake), he wanted to run around and scream. And of course Deagan wanted to play with him. Needless to say, I made Deagan pick up all of our stuff, and we were out of there. We actually lasted about 35-40 minutes, which I thought was WONDERFUL!! Hopefully I don't get fired for the loud children...haha....We then went out got stickers for Deagan from the nurses station and went home. I put Bray right down for his 2nd nap, and Deagan on the couch for quite time.

Hopefully next staff meeting I work, so I can just pop in.

So it wasn't as horrible as I expected, I was actually pretty impressed.
