4th of July

Wow how a month has flown by!! This weekend we went to Triangle Lake, our weekend getaway every summer, to celebrate the 4th of July...along with my parents 35th Wedding Anniversary and my Brother's 26th birthday.

It was a wonderful weekend spent with family and friends. All of the Denson's, Hoover's, Locey's (minus a few), and The Copeland's were there.

The kids were great. Deagan and Mackenzie (my niece) played with the little boy Denson's, Justin and Jackson, most of the weekend, and got along well. Brayden made his way around playing with whatever and just being his busy self. Payton (my nephew), was a great little baby, for only 4 months he slept well at night, and was happy go lucky the majority of the time.

Josh got sick on Saturday, and ended up going home about 9:45 Saturday night...poor guy, he missed the big fireworks :(

We had fireworks for a million people, and also got to enjoy the annual Triangle Lake Firework show, which is just amazing....the sound effects of the fireworks that echo around the lake are just crazy!!!

Here are some pictures of our weekend!!

Josh's 31st Birthday and Memorial Weekend Combo....

May 24th marked Josh's 31st birthday. It usually goes hand in hand with Memorial Weekend, which is "opening" weekend at our favorite spot on earth, Triangle Lake. We headed out on Friday with a packed full pickup; it is amazing how much stuff we had. We were the first to arrive, and it was cold, a little rainy and a tad windy, but that did stop the boys from being outside about 99% of the time; and didn't stop Deagan from swimming. He swam Friday through Sunday it the cold water.......YIKES!!

My grandparents, aunt, uncle & cousins, The Denson's, my brother & his girlfriend and My parent's were all there. Our good friends Jenni and Jason came down too. It was a great weekend for a relaxed birthday for Josh, and for the kids to play.

Saturday turned out beautiful, Sunday was not too bad, and Monday it was rainy the perfect time to come home. The kids were excellent, a couple of rough nights sleeping, but for the most party they were perfect!!!

We were all exhausted when we got home; Brayden slept on Monday for nap time from 11:45 until I had to wake him up at 4:30 WOW!!!

Here are some pictures of our weekend!

5 went fast!!!

Deagan turned 5 years old today! I can't believe how fast it went, it seemed to just fly!! He is such a great little boy! He is loved so much, especially by Brayden; they are so cute when they play, and fight :)

Deagan was born May 19, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. After initial problems we were all okay....He was such a hungry baby, nursing every 1 hour for the first 4 months of his life!! Here are some pictures of Deagan throughout his 5 years....

Deagan's 5th Birthday "Kid" Party

Deagan doesn't officially turn 5 until May 19th, but since I work every other weekend, we had to do his kid party on my weekend off. Yesterday we had his 5th birthday party at Peak Elite Gymnastics. Deagan has never taken gymnastics, but we have been to plenty of parties at this place. It is amazing! They have 2 staff people there to corral the children, there is a bounce house, and all of the gymnast equipment to play on.

18 kids showed up; a variety from school and daycare. They all did great, and no one got hurt, which is always the main goal with the majority of the kids being boys. We had one yellowjacket sting, and a few other bumps a bruises, but nothing major.

My friend Johnnie, who is my kids other mom :), her sister makes cakes, and made Deagan's. The party was a Transformer theme, and he wanted an Optimus Prime cake. It turned out SO GREAT!!!

Here are some other pictures from the party:

WOW, it's been a month......

We have been busy, doing not much of anything, but obviously too busy to blog.

I did the Eugene half marathon this past Sunday......

I did it with my mom, aunt Jan, and best friend Lisa. It was such a great route, much prettier than the Portland Marathon. However, this time we only did the 13.1 miles, instead of the 26.2. We tried a new method run a mile, walk a mile. Which was great until my knee and foot started killing me about mile 9; so then we walked the rest until the last little bit. We finished in just over 3 hours, a 14.19 minute mile; which isn't too bad since we walked a lot. A lot better time than my Portland marathon time!!

However my foot has been killing me; I had x-rays yesterday....no stress fracture, just a pulled tendon or something.

Anyway, I will try and find time to blog about what we have been up to when the kids go to bed........

Updates

**Josh and I got to go without the children to the concert; our neighbor Rosie watched the kiddos!

**Last night was a great success for our friend Dan. They raised almost $4,000 for him and his family. The concert was great. There were 4 artists; Paul Wright, Dan Hartman, Nate Christiansen, and Logan Martin. They are all wonderful, you can check them all out on Myspace under the music search. Hopefully next Monday night will be a success too, with the Papa's pizza fundraiser.

**Deagan woke up this morning with a loose bottom tooth. It wiggles a tiny tiny bit, but whatever, it is still loose. He is so excited.

**Brayden continues to be a riot act. He is so funny, and talks more and more everyday!!
